Amongst this weekend's happenings are a ton of Earth Day events! To make it easier for you to find the best one for your family, we've listed them all below. Earth Day is on Sunday, April 22nd and provides the perfect platform for you to discuss pollution and how we can take better care of our planet with your little one. Trash Bash, Saturday, 9am-2pm
Ready for some spring cleaning? Join your friends and neighbors and bring the kids to help clean up the town in preparation for another amazing – CLEAN – Rowayton Spring & Summer. Meet us at the Rowayton Community Center starting at 9:00am to get assigned to a Trash Troop and Zone. Then head out armed with our biodegradable trash bags and gloves. Bring your filled bags back to the Community Center for collection.
ArborEarth Day @ Bartlett Arboretum, Saturday, 10am-3pm
ArborEarth Day is a fun family festival! As the original home of Dr. Frances Bartlett, 'the father of arboriculture,' the Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens is the perfect location to welcome guests in celebration of Arbor Day and Earth Day. Families will enjoy listening to music, touring the Bartlett's gardens and greenhouse, viewing tree climbing and planting demonstrations and visiting our booths to learn about gardening, nature, conservation and sustainability. Kids will also love learning about backyard critters and pollinators, face painting, storytelling, composting, riding in a cherry picker, and crafting.
Earth Day Celebration @ Designs by Lee, Sunday, 12pm-4pm
Join is for a fun family afternoon at our annual Open House & celebrate Earth Day! Learn about exotic animals from Animal Embassy . At 1:00 a fun show from Tom Weber Children's Music . Delicious food served by Weenie Lynn's . Craft for kids. Bounce house.

Earth Day: Celebrating Biodiversity @ Grace Farms, Saturday, 10am-6pm
Join Grace Farms Foundation in celebrating the biodiversity of nature this Earth Day. Explore Grace Farms’ 80-acre preserve and enjoy programs and activities highlighting the importance of preserving woodlands and wildlife.
Earth Day Celebration @ New Canaan Nature Center, Sunday, 11am-2pm
Join the New Canaan Land Trust and the New Canaan Nature Center for a free family-friendly celebration of Earth Day! We will kick off the event with a ribbon cutting to officially open the Green Link Trail, and have an afternoon full of activities and programs for all ages.
Earth Day Celebration @ Darien Nature Center, Saturday, 12pm-2pm
Following a day of green activities organized by the town, join us inside the Nature Center and outside in Cherry Lawn Park for a post-cleanup celebration.
Our after-party will include food, prizes, a scavenger hunt, photo contest, and more!
Earth Day Bug Houses @ Terrain, Sunday, 10am-11am
Teach your kids how to repurpose cool materials to build something useful! With recycled soda bottles and sticks, they'll build a bug house. It's crafting that's good for the earth.

Celebrate our planet on Earth Day at the Maritime Aquarium with hands-on conservation activities and crafts!
Earth Day Celebration @ Stepping Stones Museum, Sunday, 10am-5pm
Stepping Stones loves Planet Earth and pulls out all the stops on this special day to honor our collective home. Help conserve monarch butterflies by making a milkweed-seed planter for your home garden. Revel in this celebration of the natural wonders of our world by engaging in a bevy of butterfly-themed crafts and activities.
Earth Day Art @ Bruce Museum, Sunday, 1pm-3pm
A drop-in program designed for children aged 4 and up and their families. Participants will explore simple science concepts and subjects while partaking in fun, kid-friendly experiments, projects and crafts inspired by the Museum’s collections and exhibitions.
