With Election Day (Tuesday, 11/7) comes school closings and moms & dads panicking about what to do with their little bees. Not to worry, we have you covered! Our Election Day Guide gives you a ton of fun (and some free!) things to do to keep everyone busy. Go ahead and take a look-- it's your right!

#1 Choice! Our vote is in for the best thing to do on Election Day this year and it is The Bruce Museum in Greenwich! Admission is FREE on Tuesdays & in addition to the wonderful exhibits they always offer, they have 2 "Bruce Beginnings" events happening. Children 2.5-5 (with an adult) explore the museum collections and exhibitions through picture books and hands-on activities. 11:00am & 1:00pm.

Vacation Day Camps

Earthplace, Westport: Enjoy a day off with fun & educational themed activities. Extended day options available! Ages 3-grade 5, 9-1pm or 9-3pm, Members $48-$72 & Non Members $64-$96. Register here!

Pump It Up, Norwalk: Kids spend part of their day laughing, jumping, playing games, and part of their time creating art projects. 9-12:30, 12:30-4, or 9-4! $25 per single session or $40 for 2 sessions.

Tumble Jungle, Norwalk: Activities generally include trampoline time, zip-line rides, bounce houses galore, age appropriate games, themed activities, recreational sports, crafts, & more. 9-12pm, $45. Add on "Monkey Time" for $15!

Kids U, Stamford: Camp is an opportunity to sample everything Kids U has to offer with and emphasis on fun and friends! Snacks and drinks are provided. Ages 3-9, 1-4pm, $50/child & $45/sibling. Register here!

Chelsea Piers, Stamford: Little Athletes Gymnastics Camp supports each child's natural love of movement and exploration. A low camper-to-teacher ratio ensures personal attention and maximizes safety. Ages 3-5, 8:45-11:45am, Members $63 & Non Members $75. Register here!

Drop-In Activities

Music Together: Attend a FREE demonstration class! Siblings can attend together! Multiple class options in various towns (schedules here). Email mtfcjj@optonline.net to attend & tell them Busy Little Bee sent you!

Monkey Time at Tumble Jungle, Norwalk: Drop off! Supervised open play that includes time in the gym, inflatable zone, and pizza to boot! Ages 3-5, 12:30-1:30pm or 5:30-6:30pm, $20.

Toddler Time at Sky Zone, Norwalk: A time for your little ones to discover the joy of being active, bouncing under the supervision of their parents, and without interference from the big kids. 10-12pm, $12.

Open Gym at YMCA, Darien: Child-sized equipment allows children to discover color, shape, and movement while developing imagination, coordination, balance, strength, flexibility & motor skills. Ages 1-5, 10:50-11:35am or 12-12:45pm, Members $10 & Non Members $15.

Chocolate Works, Darien: Drop off for 5+! Become a chocolatier for the day! Little ones can make delicious chocolate creations in the 20 foot chocolate conveyor belt, mold and decorate their own piece of chocolate, or use the chocolate fountain!

Dance With Me, Baby!, Stamford: Bond with your child through the joy of dance and movement and also enjoy your own cardio dance workout! Walkers to 5, 3:30-4:15, $24.

Little Athletes Zone at Chelsea Piers, Stamford: This indoor gym is specially designed for tiny athletes. The play space features a super-fun indoor exploration structure complete with tunnels, tubes, secret passageways, climbing areas, a slippery slide, & more. Ages 6 months-5 years, 9-7pm, Members Free or $5 & Non Members $10.

Story Times

Spanish Storytime, Cos Cob: Little ones are welcome to drop in for a half hour of music and songs, stories and movement. It's time to learn some Spanish and have some fun! 10:30-11am, FREE.

Tales for Tots, Greenwich: Stories, songs, and finger plays to encourage a love of books and early language development. Ages 2-3, 10:30-11am, FREE.

Tune Tales, Norwalk: Enjoy interactive stories, songs and games that encourage children's emerging language skills followed by playtime! Ages 5 & under, 9:30-10:15am or 10:30-11:15am, FREE.

Lapsit Storytime, Norwalk: Come learn rhymes and books to read with your little ones and meet other parents too! Pre-walkers, 11:30-12:15pm, FREE.

Budding Bookworms, Stamford: Enjoy books, songs and movement at this participatory story time. Ages 18 months to 4 years, 10-11am, FREE. Located at the South End Branch.

Toddler Mother Goose, Westport: This Early Literacy Program includes rhymes, songs and play. Walkers to 2 years, 9:30-10am, FREE.

Story & Animal Program at Earthplace, Westport: Join your friends at Natureplace for an animal-themed story and an encounter with one of the Animal Hall residents! Afterwards, you have a chance to have Earthplace staff answer all your questions while giving some of the animals their daily meals. Ages 5 & under, 10-10:40am, Members Free & Non Members $5/child over 1, $7/adult.

Special Events

"Circus on a String" Puppet Show, Byram: Step right up and see incredible feats of skill performed by acrobats, clowns, and animals with one very important and unique feature...they're all puppets! String puppets, or marionettes, to be exact. It's all action, music, and thrills. All ages, 11-12pm.

Election on the Farm at Stamford Museum & Nature Center, Stamford: Cast your vote for your favorite farm animal at the annual Election on the Farm! Will the guinea hogs take the vote or be edged out by Dakota the Clydesdale? Your vote counts! Meet and shake "hooves" with some of the candidates, try themed self-guided crafts, and scavenger hunts on Heckscher Farm. You'll also get a chance to "Vote Local" with a tasting of local ice cream from 2:30-3pm. All ages, 11-3pm, Members Free & Non Members Free w/admission.

Awesome Autumn Day at New Canaan Nature Center, New Canaan: Vote for Nature this Election Day! Come on over to NCNC to enjoy a beautiful autumn day with your kids and the NCNC naturalists. Frolic in the leaves and take part in field games, such as pumpkin ring toss, corn hole, and parachute games. Naturalists will also be leading autumn-themed relay races across the Green! All ages, 1-3pm, FREE.

Aquariums & Museums

Scavenger Hunt at The Maritime Aquarium, Norwalk: Did you know there is a self-guided scavenger hunt that you can do while working your way through the exhibits at The Maritime Aquarium?! You can find it here! All regularly scheduled events will take place and don't forget to visit the Ocean Play Space (located upstairs)! FREE admission to all active-duty military as well as to veterans of our armed forces for all of November.
