Donning your most festive red, white, and blue attire and attending a parade is a favorite Memorial Day tradition in most households! Below you will find local parade details so you can plan your long weekend accordingly. Have fun, be safe, and please remember the real reason for the holiday: honoring the men and women who have died serving our country!

Darien

Monday, 5/27 @ 10am

This year’s parade steps off from Goodwives Shopping Center at 10am, with the annual United States Air Force flyover along the Post Road occurring at approximately 10:30am! Marchers will turn right out of Goodwives and travel on Old Kings Highway South to Brookside Road, and then turn left onto the Post Road until they reach the veterans cemetery at Spring Grove Cemetery.

Following the parade, you won't want to miss the 31st annual Darien EMS Post 53 Food Fair at Tilley Pond Park! This event raises money to support training, provide supplies for patient care, provide hands-only CPR and Stop the Bleed classes, and maintain ambulances. The fair, which begins immediately after the parade and runs until 2pm, features fun and entertainment for the entire family.

Fairfield

Monday, 5/27 @ 10am
