Intro to STEM with LEGO Materials

Give your imagination a boost with tens of thousands of LEGO parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as: Cities, Garbage Trucks, Catamarans, and Dinosaurs. Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. This is a FREE "camp" at Darien Library!

Hands on Pottery

Join us for a summer of creative fun in our themed pottery camps! Children will learn a few different techniques with each class.

Holly Hoppers @ Darien YMCA

For 1st time campers, this is a great program for your child. Campers will explore at their own pace while building coordination and concentration skills in a safe and nurturing environment. They will participate in music, creative movement, swimming, games, cooking, arts & crafts and special events.

Summer Fun Club @ Darien YMCA

Campers who have not yet completed kindergarten will enjoy this camp. Activities such as swimming, creative movement, crafts, cooking, canoeing/sailing, music, sports and free play give campers the opportunity to build self-esteem through creativity and exploration. Special events and a field trip to a local beach are enjoyed each session.

ELP @ Darien Summer School

Just because school is out for the summer, doesn’t mean that the fun has to stop! The goals of the ELP are to enhance each child’s cognitive understanding, emotional development, social skills, language usage, and physical motor development through structured and facilitated language and play-based experiences. These goals are met through small class sizes containing a high staff to student ratio which enables us to individualize learning opportunities with a focus on Summer Time Fun!

Summer PALS @ Darien Summer School

Are you ready to meet new friends and have fun at Playing and Learning Stations (PALS)? A head teacher and assistant teacher will guide your child along with 11 classmates to explore five different themes through read aloud, crafts, songs, and movement. Your child will further develop their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth through various hands on activities that encourage their enthusiasm and curiosity.

Tiny Chefs @ Darien Summer School

Tiny Chefs will move beyond the basics and stretch their baking repertoire to include things like biscuits, muffins, cupcakes, fruit tarts, and dessert sauces. Students will also learn measurements and equivalents, as well as basic techniques like folding, whisking, and rolling during this week of camp.

Maureen Bloom Playdates

Two trained instructors lead the play-based, sensory-rich curriculum that is child-centered, building upon the interest, abilities and inclinations of the children. Outdoor experiences and natural resources of the various home environments add to the uniqueness of this special program. Playdates has a mission of developing social, confident and compassionate children through a nurturing environment of creative play, sharing, and development of friendships.

June Bugs @ Darien Nature Center

Children will enjoy this early summer vacation program. Searching the trails, pond and brook and identifying what our young explorers find is just the start of this fun-filled week. The children will also be creating nature crafts and enjoying the menagerie of animals in our zoo room.

Summer Camp @ Darien Nature Center

Summer is the time to explore, learn and grow. Our well-rounded program encourages campers to build friendships and develop an appreciation for nature and science. Indoor and outdoor activities create wonderful opportunities for fun and exploration. Each week a different nature inspired theme reflects our commitment to the natural world around us. Action packed days help children to develop their independence while having fun and discovering nature. Activities include: nature hikes, games, stories, songs, water day, visits with our zoo room animals, and Friday family presentations!

Kings Highway Tennis Club

Our tennis camp provides young players the opportunity to improve their tennis game, work hard, make new friends and have a lot of fun. Our accomplished pros have a passion for teaching kids and will help them take their game to the next level.

Summer Fun @ YWCA Darien/Norwalk

Summer Fun is a 2-hour drop-off program consisting of free-play, story and music time, an art project and snack in a classroom setting. Children will learn new songs, create fun works of art and make lots of new friends in a class of up to eight students.

Performance Kids @ Darien Arts Center

Young children will create a mini show. They will create a basic costume, create scenery, learn songs and dances, and on the final day, they will perform in a mini show. This camp includes 3 classes: art, music and dance, a lunch break and some fun free time.

New Canaan Nature Center

Our camp programs aim to get children and youth unplugged from indoor activities through exciting, hands-on explorations in the outdoors. Our action-packed Summer Camp emphasizes fun experiences that give children an opportunity to simply “be a kid” while exploring the marvels of nature and making friends. Weekly themes inspire young adventurers at age-appropriate levels as they learn and play amidst our 40 acres of ponds, fields, and forest. Budding scientists uncover the mysteries of the natural world while adventure-seekers learn wilderness skills and experience the exhilaration of the great outdoors!

Summer Warm Up @ Camp Playland

Summer Warm Up is a three week pre-camp program in June for preschool aged boys and girls. It is a combination of the best of Playland Day Camp and Preschool- the finest staff, great programs, and the best facility- to provide preschoolers with a safe, fun, nurturing and instructional warm up for summer. Campers will swim in Playland’s heated pools, enjoy boating and fishing, music, ropes courses, archery, athletics, and more

Camp Playland

The day camp with the away camp atmosphere. Camp Playland is a place where children feel physically and emotionally safe. We strive to create a unique environment where every camper feels a sense of belonging, learns life-long skills and forges lasting relationships with their peers and counselors. Everything that happens at Playland has one core ingredient: FUN! Good Friends + Fun Times = Great Memories!

Toddlertime

Our summer program is rich in exploration, imagination and creativity. Our themes are intentionally open-ended to allow campers to enjoy play without an end goal in mind and to give the counselors freedom to tailor it towards the interest of their group. Some of our prior themes include Outdoor Art Blast, Out of the Box, Kaleidoscope, Pop Fizz Academy, Flying Marshmallows, Build It, and Mud Glorious Mud.

Silvermine Arts Center

Silvermine Summer Art Studios offers children the opportunity to experience the arts, to have fun creating while challenging their imaginations and to meet friends. Students learn and experience creativity in the professional and nurturing environment. Young artists will explore creative processes, techniques and materials with the guidance of trained artists.

Performing Arts Conservatory

Students rehearse and perform the selected musical show - learning the songs, staging, choreography and present a fully produced/costumed performance to family and friends in the Conservatory Theatre on their final day.

Yoga & Art Camp at Family Tree Yoga

Join Kimberly Motill, certified Children's Yoga Instructor, for this fun creative camp. The day will have a theme, and we will have a playful yoga class and art and sensory projects related to the theme. A healthy snack of organic crackers and organic fruits will be served.

Tiny Tots Preschool Camp

Farm & Forest Fun @ SM&NC

Creative Kids Nature Camp @ SM&NC

Visit Heckscher Farm, explore our forest, and meet our live animals. Each week's theme will be chock full of age-appropriate, hands-on adventures both inside and out. Children will also create art projects to remember their camp experience. Our indoor and outdoor classroom areas are set up with play opportunities unique to each themed session. Each class is taught by an early childhood professional with previous teaching experience at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center.

Long Ridge Camp

The children are offered a wide variety of activities that add up to a well balanced experience that includes Swimming, Sports, Arts, and Adventure. Special activities and visiting performers add spice to our usual routine throughout the summer. Our youngest campers have their own program geared to their need for activities that stimulate their growing bodies and minds as well as incorporating downtime including rest and storytelling.

Bartlett Arboretum

Discover a new theme each week, which is tied to the plants and animals that live at the Arboretum. We’ll roam the Bartlett’s grounds from swamp to forest to greenhouse. Grow, Cook & Learn @ The Pink Rhubarb

Children will learn how a garden grows, practice beginning cooking skills, yoga, & crafts. Campers will all interact together and share project based learning with food science both in the kitchen and the garden. We share ideas about where food comes from and how to bring it to the table with experiments and games. Together we continue to create connections to our healthy bodies and develop creativity.

Tumble Jungle

Whenever school is closed, there is a ton of fun happening at Tumble Jungle. Our climate-controlled facilities, amazingly fun equipment, and exceptional staff create the ideal children’s camps. Camp activities generally include trampoline time, zip-line rides, bounce houses galore, age-appropriate games, themed activities, recreational sports, crafts, and so much more.

Overtime Athletics Summer Camps are a little bit of this… and a little bit of that! Our mode of providing fun and affordable summer camps, zeroes in on the best parts of traditional day camp like sports, games, contests, arts & crafts, team building challenges, and special activities, and also incorporates the latest trends in youth programming to include: scavenger hunts, bounce houses, water games, goofy golf, brain buster projects, and much, much more! Our proven curriculum and programming formula allows us to roll through the day weaving high intensity and low impact activities together so that every type of kid has their moment to shine.

Storybook Theatre Camp @ Crystal Theatre

Play pretend this summer at this one week afternoon drama camp specially designed for Pre-K and Kindergarten students. Taught by certified educator Samantha Kulish and preschool teacher Debra Poruban, this camp is a wonderful introduction to drama and movement. Each afternoon, students will step into their favorite storybooks and bring them to life! As well as playing pretend, students will also take part in fun-filled theatre exercises and movement games. “Storybook Theatre Camp” culminates in a staged production on the last day of camp in our theater for family and friends to attend. Let your little star shine!

Pump It Up

Welcome to "Camp Pump It Up", where fun knows no limits. Kids spend part of their day laughing, jumping, playing games, and part of their time creating art projects.

Craft Days at Pink Lemon Blue Lime

Summer is here and there is nothing better than getting lost in some arts and crafts! Join us for a special craft! The crafts will be divided by age. This is a drop off activity.

Earthplace

Campers use the Earthplace Preschool classrooms and stay with their counselors throughout the day. Each camp session has an exciting theme around which the week is designed. Nature and the environment will come alive for these campers through theme-related activities including animal encounters, trail walks, arts and crafts, playground time, water play, story time and music.

Little Farmers @ Wakeman Town Farm

Youngsters will dabble in all aspects of the farm experience—from planting and harvesting fresh veggies in the garden, to feeding our various farm animals. Children will learn how to spot squash bugs, where to look for monarch caterpillars, and how to collect eggs from the chicken coop! Children will delight in games, crafts, and food preparation using veggies straight from the gardens in this delightful and peaceful outdoor farm setting.

Westport Arts Center

Get creative, innovative, and have fun through the arts by choosing from a catalog of unique and contemporary weeklong workshops. With everything from mixed media studios to themed courses delving into graffiti, design, and culture, each workshop will include hands-on projects and a new way to look at art. Classes will stimulate your child’s problem solving skills and invigorate their imagination through diverse materials. Your child will practice thinking creatively and critically!

Little Wheelies Push Bike & Sports Camp

This is where it all begins! The push bike camp is geared toward kids who are walking with their bikes, but maybe not fully sitting. Will learn skills in order to achieve proper balance and steering skills. Children will learn in a fun and safe atmosphere using specific techniques, patience, and fun. We will also play baseball, basketball, flag football, and other fun activities.
