Rain Update: Due to the unfavorable forecast for Sunday's event, and wet grounds from a week of rain, we will be postponing this event to June 3rd. We can't wait to see you all then!
This event is sold out! To be added to the waitlist, please contact us here.
On Sunday, May 20th* from 11:30am to 1pm, you and your little one are invited to join us as we host a precious springtime event: Tea with Busy Little Bee at The Mather Homestead! Sarah from Rosebud Boxes will transform the lawn of the homestead into a beautiful garden tea party with lovely florals provided by Sweet Peas & Poppies. Guests will step back in time (The Mather Homestead was built in 1778!) and enjoy a delicious lunch courtesy of Whole Foods Market, with coffee & tea from Roost. Children will play traditional colonial games, create a variety of crafts, participate in a maypole dance, and watch a special performance by the Darien School of Dance! As the event comes to an end, everyone will leave with a yummy treat from Chocolate Works of Darien.
Moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, sons, and daughters are all welcome at this caregiver/child event! While everyone is welcome, the activities at this tea party are most suitable for children ages 4 to 8.
Tickets are $35 for adults and $25 for children with all event proceeds going to the Mather Homestead Foundation for continued preservation and historical education. For more information about the Mather Homestead Foundation click here.
Ticket availability is limited, so click here to buy your tickets today!
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions!
*Tea with Busy Little Bee is an outdoor event and will be rescheduled to Sunday, June 3rd in the event that it rains.
