Drive & Walk Thru Displays

Worldwide Light Celebration Car Parade, Stepping Stones Museum

Treat your family to a spectacular (free!) holiday light display from the safe comfort of your car. Registered guests will enjoy a Luminescent Light Forest with nontraditional trees, a beautiful Evergreen display, plus hidden light treasures, sparkling presents and happy Santa sightings. A special looping light show, prepared by museum educators, will air on the museum’s indoor Light Gallery. Thursday-Sunday, November 21st-December 23rd from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Tickets required.

Holiday Lights, Bronx Zoo, Bronx, NY

On select dates from November 20 through January 10, enjoy a global safari in lights featuring illuminated animals from all over the world. Their five lantern safaris, spread out throughout the park, each showcase a different wildlife region and will lead you on a fun, safe, and leisurely tour of the attractions. Ice-carving demonstrations, holiday treats, costumed characters, wildlife theater, stilt walkers, and more! Tickets required.

Winter Wonderland Walk, Beardsley Zoo

Stroll through their Winter Town and enjoy 10 festive vignettes, including Fairy House Lane, Poinsettia Pass, Snowman Way, Dreidel Drive, Gingerbread Boulevard, Kris Kringle Corner, Nutcracker Suite, Evergreen Lane and Gratitude Way. This new event takes place from November 28-January 6 from 9am-4pm. Included in the price of zoo admission, tickets required.

Westchester’s Winter Wonderland

A festive 1.2-mile drive through Kensico Dam Plaza, filled with dazzling exclusive light displays that will thrill youngsters of all ages. See your favorite holiday characters, listen to jovial music, wave to Santa, and experience other surprises all seen from the safe and controlled environment of your car. Every night from November 27th through January 3rd (with a few exceptions). Tickets required.

GLOW, New York Botanical Garden

With lots of room to spread out, explore a glowing world of color and light featuring the Haupt Conservatory as the centerpiece—its iconic exterior a glittering canvas. Washes of brilliant colors, thousands of dazzling lights, and picture-perfect installations fill the Reflecting Pool and enliven surrounding gardens and collections. Also during your visit, enjoy artistic ice sculpting, music, and pop-up performances by The Hip Hop Nutcracker. Tickets required.

A Frosty Fest

It’s a bit of a drive from lower Fairfield County…but the creative team at Headless Horseman Hayrides & Haunted Houses presents a family fun holiday spectacular unlike anything you’ve seen before, so we had to share it! Visit with the holiday characters throughout (including a massive new Christmas Bear named Bubbles), watch Frosty’s Animated Musical Light Show, stroll through Candy Cane Lane, drive through Frosty’s Enchanted Forest, take outdoor photos with Santa, and SO MUCH more! Open Friday, Saturday, & Sunday through December. Tickets required.

The Sugar Bowl, 1033 Boston Post Rd., Darien, CT

Although this is not technically a light display, this downtown “diner” fills every inch of their small breakfast and lunch spot with Christmas decorations (ceiling included). It’s the perfect spot to bring antsy kids for a quick, inexpensive, & festive meal!

Drive by and tune your radio into station 103.3 to see this magnificent light display. This house is lit from 5pm-9pm Sunday-Thursday and 5pm-10pm Friday and Saturday.

Stamford

House of Lights, 68 Lewelyn Rd.

Every night from Thanksgiving until January 7th between 5pm and 1am. For 2020 there is no walk around to the backyard, but the front of the house is still full of lights.

This display has lights that are synchronized to music!

They start decorating for Christmas during their Halloween display (which is also amazing)!

The displays in this South Brooklyn neighborhood are said to get bigger, better, & brighter every year!

North Kensico, 21 N. Kensico Ave., White Plains

The final year! Computerized Christmas light and music display featuring over 10,000 lights on 144 channels decorate 4 homes. From November 28th until January 1st between 5:30pm and 11pm.
