2021 Fireworks Update

Although life is definitely returning to normal, there are still events and activities that are being postponed one last time with promises to be back for 2022! And unfortunately that means a lot of annual town firework displays are not taking place this year. But, not all are cancelled! Some festivities are back and planning on being better than ever. Take a look below to see the latest update of Fourth of July fireworks in lower Fairfield County.

Darien

Fireworks are canceled. But the 16th annual Push-n-Pull parade is not! This patriotic parade features children riding bikes, scooters, wagons & non-motorized vehicles. The parade steps off from Darien High School at 10:30am on July 4th. (Families are encouraged to arrive at DHS between 9:45-10am) The parade will end at the VFW Post 6933, located at 205 Noroton Ave where there will be food vendors, live entertainment, & children’s activities. In the place of fireworks, the Parks & Recreation department is hosting a patriotic night at Weed Beach on Friday, July 2nd (rain date is Saturday, July 3rd). Fairfield

Saturday, 7/3 (rain date 7/5)

Come Celebrate Independence Day with an explosive firework show. Fireworks start just after dark, usually around 9:15pm, from a barge off of Long Island Sound so the show can be easily seen from Penfield and Jennings beaches. Entertainment will be provided at both beaches from 6pm-9pm. Parking, tickets, and additional details here.

Greenwich

Saturday, 7/3 & Monday, 7/5 (no rain date)

Fireworks will take place at Greenwich Point at approximately 9:10pm on both nights. Those who arrive early can take advantage of pre-show entertainment and concessions. Parking, tickets, and additional details here.

New Canaan

Saturday, 7/3 (rain date 7/11)

The 40th Annual Family Fourth of July Celebration will begin at 5pm at Waveny Park. Activities will include family picnicking and several gourmet food trucks. Live music will include “Mind the Gap” from 5:30pm-7:15pm and the Town Band from 7:30pm-9:15pm. A spectacular fireworks display is scheduled to start soon thereafter. Norwalk

Fireworks are canceled.

Ridgefield

Monday, 7/5 (rain date 7/6)

Gates open at Ridgefield High school at 6pm and fireworks begin at dusk. Picnic with friends and family after the gates open! Parking, tickets, and additional details here. Get in the spirit the day before by attending a free concert in Ballard Park at 4pm on July 4th. Tony Award winner Debbie Gravitte will be joined by Russ Kassoff and his orchestra to perform iconic songs that celebrate America, Broadway, and more.

Rowayton

Fireworks are canceled. But the much-loved RCA Summer Music Festival is back! The first concert of the season will be at Bayley Beach on July 4th at 4:30pm, featuring The Sound Waves. Bring a cooler and kick off your shoes for a show to remember. Additional details can be found here.

Stamford

Friday, 7/2 (no rain date)

This year, fireworks will once again launch off The Landmark Building in downtown Stamford at 9pm. There will be no public viewing area, but the show will be visible for miles allowing residents to safely watch from home!

Weston

Wilton
