Pumpkins

Fall is a festive time where we celebrate the harvest season at our beautiful Pumpkinseed Hill Farm. Bright orange pumpkins lie nestled amongst hay and green vines, ready to be harvested and carried home. Our Market Yard features farm animals, hayrides, corn maze, fall flowers, fresh apples and piles of autumn squash. Our special UNICEF Family Festival during the last weekend before Halloween features games and children’s activities all benefiting a worthy cause. Come enjoy classic New England scenery and beautiful fall foliage at Jones Family Farms this October.

Market Yard

In our Market Yard guests will find over 50 varieties of pumpkins, gourds and squash in every shape and size, making the Halloween decorating and Thanksgiving culinary possibilities seem endless! Many of the winter squash can be stored for several months in your home. Come and stock up on some of the most delicious squash varieties that you will only find here at the farm – and enjoy them all winter long.

The Yard is also full of fall flowers, colorful Indian corn, hay bales and cornstalks. For a tasty treat there are Empire apples, cider, and cookies. We have a new and longer tractor-drawn hayride this year that takes guests, for the first time, through the farm fields including the vineyard, Christmas trees and berry fields. It is beautiful! Our small stage is located in the Market Yard as well and provides a fun spot for children to dance to music selected to highlight our annual themes.

Family Activities

Enjoy roaming our pumpkin fields with your family to find the perfect jack-o-lantern for your house this Halloween. We have many adorable photo opportunities throughout the Market Yard. Take a hayride (open daily – weather permitting) and enjoy the views over scenic Pumpkinseed Hill or get lost in our family-friendly corn maze (open only on weekends – weather permitting).

Pick up some farm fresh squash and try one of our Harvest Kitchen’s delicious recipes. Visit pigs, and chickens in the farmyard. Our Market Yard also features children’s music playing near a small “stage” area where children are invited to dance. The weekend before Halloween is our Annual UNICEF Family Festival. Families participate in fun game and activities, and proceeds are donated to UNICEF.
