DL Summer Camp

Let the good times roll this summer with the DL Staff! DL Summer Camp turns the fun volume all the way up at their state of the art dance studio in Darien, CT. With days filled with dancing, crafts, indoor and outdoor games, smiles and lots of laughs, campers can’t get enough! Themed weeks provide endless imagination and fun as campers learn new moves, make friends, and soak up the summer fun.

Music Video Camp

Have you ever watched a music video and wondered “how do they do that?” or pretended to be the artist singing into your hairbrush and acting out every single movement? Us too! This summer the DL Staff and some very special guest instructors will be giving YOU the chance to star in an original music video production.

Camp will include lessons in video production, on-camera technique, intention behind movement, choreography, creative visualization and more! Camp culminates with an on-location music video shoot where campers will bring all their new skills to life.

Students will learn these essential elements from industry experts:

• video production
• on-camera technique
• intention behind movement
• acting for the camera
• choreography
• creative visualization

*2 years of consecutive and current dance experience required to audition. Auditions will take place on Saturday, April 24th from 12:45 – 4pm at DL Studio.*

12:45 – 2:15PM: Ages 8 – 10 (12:45 – 1pm: Registration / 1 – 2:15pm: Audition /Late arrivals will not be accepted.)

2:30 – 4PM: Ages 11+ (2:30 – 2:45pm: Registration / 2:45 – 4pm: Audition / Late arrivals will not be accepted.)

Breakdancing Camp

Join our resident B-boy Freddy “Frenzy” Munoz this summer in Breakdancing Camp! In this one week camp, campers will be introduced to Breakdancing basics including:

• Top Rocks
• Freezes
• Power Moves
• Footwork
• Basic Vocabulary

They will also have the opportunity to create their very own B-Boy and B-Girl style. In addition, each camper will be able to create their very own B-boy or B-girl name that they will use throughout camp.

There is no experience necessary to register for camp. Breakdancing camp is the perfect opportunity for a beginner who is looking to learn the basics of Breakdancing. Or even for someone who maybe has some dance experience, but is looking to try Breakdancing.

Breakdancing camp will be taught progressively with all lessons building to the FINAL CAMP DAY BATTLE where campers will have the opportunity to showcase everything that they learned in camp.
