Study Art at one of the oldest artist communities in the country!
The Silvermine School of Art summer camps and workshops for students ages four through seventeen offers extraordinary opportunities for young children as well as high school students. Students learn from regionally and nationally known artists while meeting new friends and having fun on Silvermine’s 5-acre campus with its barns, classrooms, sculpture walk and picturesque waterfall. Younger ones will gain new competence; older students can deepen knowledge of technique and composition or strengthen a portfolio for college.
We offer over 120 art studio sessions in painting, drawing, photography, woodworking, ceramics, metal sculpture, printmaking, jewelry, mixed media, and special studies. At every level, from beginner to advanced, enjoyment, participation and play are given, and Silvermine’s campus and many landscape views add to the experience of attending camp or taking summer workshops.
Camps and workshops run in one-week sessions for ages four to seventeen in the morning and afternoon. The price range is $290 to $475 depending on the hours and number of days. Sessions are available for two age groups: Juniors (ages: 4-10) and Youth (ages 11-17). The school strictly enforces the age groups of each camp.
Registration begins on Wednesday, March 18th.
