The Pink Rhubarb

The Pink Rhubarb teaches children all about the culinary arts and gardening. We share ideas about where food comes from, how to feel confident in the kitchen learning how to use our hands, how to prepare plant-based foods in the kitchen, how to work in the garden and while making homesteading crafts. We are passionate about edible education and are a cooking program that features healthy lifestyle choices, but we also bake a ton and have fun together!!!

Your kids will grow, cook and learn together while playing and sharing experiences with each other. Emphasis on making choices in a relaxed environment promotes confidence and allows children to explore what interests them. Guided play and workshops are scheduled each day focusing on projected based learning in the kitchen and garden. We partner with our enrichment guests who are passionate about teaching children. Our activities include yoga, drumming, bee keeping, art and design. We move together but there is plenty of time for independence and relaxation. We pride ourselves on offering small groups no larger than 30 children per each session so we can work closely together. Age ranges from 5-11 years old with a close learning environment with one counselor to six children. Together we can create healthy foods from fine quality ingredients, dig in our container garden exploring how foods grow or just explore being independent during the summer.
