Brunswick School

Founded in 1902, an independent, college preparatory day school in Greenwich, Conn., providing character-based education for boys in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12.

Pre School Highlights

Our youngest boys enter the Pre School program full of life, energy, curiosity, and innocence. By using a caring, nurturing, and fun approach, we help students develop an excitement about learning and a readiness for the academic subjects they will encounter in Lower School and beyond. Early on, we encourage boys to develop a positive attitude about themselves, their classmates, and their school. Basic learning skills are fostered through integrated activities incorporating early math, reading and writing, science, art, music, and athletics. Students are also introduced to computers and to the Spanish language. Each of our boys is taught to develop cooperative learning skills and to understand what it means to be a kind and caring classmate.

Our Pre School on King Street offers generous spaces to support a rich and fulfilling program. In addition to enjoying large and inviting classrooms, our boys benefit from the use of state-of-the-art athletic facilities, a library, a computer room, an art studio, and a music room. In addition, there is a newly-renovated playground designed specifically for Pre School boys. Our Pre School is adjacent to our Lower School, allowing for a unique relationship to develop between our youngest students. The two divisions often interact during the class day or during other organized cross-divisional activities. These special interactions epitomize the warm feelings of community that characterize the Brunswick experience.
