Carousel Preschool

Welcome to Carousel Preschool! A responsive early learning program for you and your child! Our program is made up of a diverse population of children, families and staff, all from various cultures, ethnic groups and nationalities, which enables our program to emulate life outside of the program. This rich diversity also allows children to become familiar with and aware of differences and similarities before they venture out into a larger world where diversity exists around them.

This program will seek to edify, equip, encourage and empower children to make positive, reciprocal relationships with others, become productive individuals now and eventually as adults within their communities. We recognize and respect the uniqueness of each child, therefore cultural differences are reflected and encouraged in all aspects of the environment, materials, and activities. Our entire staff gains continuous knowledge of researched theories and best practices of child development and early childhood education toward providing a nurturing environment in which each child is encouraged to grow and develop appropriately – with much love and positive guidance.

Our program encompasses a variety of early childhood philosophies, including Bank Street, Reggio Emilia & Jean Piaget. We provide a homelike environment in which children learn through play. Our program uses the positive guidance approach, teaching problem-solving, conflict resolution and shared decision-making skills. Children are offered a variety of choices that encourage independence and self-governing skills.
