Saint Luke’s Parish School provides a weekday ministry which fosters a close relationship between home, school, and parish. The goal at SLPS is to prepare children for their futures emotionally (positive self-image), socially (get along with and respect others), physically (muscle coordination and ability to care for oneself), intellectually (encourage curiosity and provide opportunity to learn), and spiritually (instill key Christian values of prayer, worship, love of neighbor, justice and peace).

SLPS programs are based on the philosophy that early childhood education should be child-centered and play- based, and include a variety of manipulatives and open-ended activities that meet all levels of development and need. “It is through exploration and active experiences, as well as meaningful social interactions, that children come to better understand the world around them while developing their self-esteem and a higher level of thinking.”
