The Learning Center at Pipers Hill

17 Roxbury Rd
Stamford, CT 06902

The Learning Center at Piper’s Hill was founded in 1970 as a hotel and camp for children.  It was a unique environment for its time since it provided overnight and weekend care for family emergencies and business travel.  The original site was a leased ten-acre location that gave the children the opportunity to explore nature.

As the Stamford population expanded the need for Early Childhood and Afterschool care became quite apparent.  By 1990 Piper’s Hill had evolved into a full time Childcare Center that provided care for Infants through Preschool and an Afterschool program for school age children.

In 2003 Piper’s Hill  re-located to 17 Roxbury Road and were able to help meet the city’s childcare needs by expanding from 108 to 160 children.  As a non-profit Childcare Center we remain committed to the children of Stamford and the surrounding communities.

Currently, The Learning Center at Piper’s Hill is a non-profit organization that is licensed by the State of Connecticut.  We are licensed for 138 children ranging in age from Six weeks to Five years. Our primary goal is to provide holistic meaningful learning for all children. Our teachers are committed to providing learning experiences that will support each child in developing necessary skills that will ensure success in Kindergarten and beyond.  We look forward to meeting you!
