On Saturday, May 18th* from 12pm to 1:30pm, you and your little one are invited to join us as we host a precious springtime event: the 2nd annual Tea with Busy Little Bee at The Mather Homestead! If you weren’t at last year’s event, click here to view local photographer Kristin Wood’s gorgeous photos from the special day.

We will again transform the lawn of the homestead into a beautiful garden tea party with lovely florals provided by Nielsen’s. Each table will be adorned with vintage tea cups and the sweetest gift for you to take home from Wee Mondine. Guests will step back in time (The Mather Homestead was built in 1778!) and enjoy a yummy lunch courtesy of Palmer’s, with coffee & tea from Roost. Your beverage of choice will not only taste delicious, but look beautiful in Paper Greats’ 100% recyclable and compostable cups! Children will participate in a maypole dance, watch a special performance by the Darien School of Dance, and do a craft with The Handwork School! Guests are encouraged to wear tea party attire, and we’ll provide the hats and pearls!

Moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, sons, and daughters are all welcome at this caregiver/child event. While everyone is welcome, the activities at this tea party are most suitable for children ages 3.5 to 8.
